The Content Strategy That Gets Atlanta Roofers Found

July 2026By Brandyn Buchanan

Posting a photo of a finished roof with the caption "Another one done" does nothing. It doesn't rank. It doesn't educate. It doesn't sell. Here's what does.

Answer questions, don't just show work

A homeowner types "how do I know if I have hail damage" into Google. If you've written a blog post, recorded a podcast episode, or filmed a reel answering that question, you show up. If all you've posted is photos of finished roofs, you don't. The content that gets found is the content that answers questions. Posting photos is marketing to people who already know you. Answering questions is marketing to people who don't.

One job, five pieces of content

Every roofing job you complete can become: a Google post with photos, an Instagram Reel showing the before and after, a blog post about the neighborhood you worked in, a podcast mention about a specific challenge you solved, and a review request sent to the customer. One job. Five pieces of content. The roofer who does this for every job is going to dominate their market in two years. The roofer who doesn't is going to wonder where the leads went.

Local is the cheat code

National roofing content doesn't rank in Atlanta. But a blog post titled "Roof Replacement Costs in Buckhead: What to Expect in 2026" with real photos of a Buckhead roof will rank for Buckhead searches. Google rewards local specificity. The neighborhoods you work in should name your content.

Consistency beats quality

One great blog post doesn't change anything. One blog post every week for a year changes everything. Google trusts sites that publish consistently. Homeowners trust roofers who show up consistently. The algorithm and the customer want the same thing: proof that you're still here, still working, still the one to call.
